Uploading Audio Files, KX-NS300BX

Transfers Outgoing Message (OGM) files from the PC to the Storage Memory Card. This option is only available at the Installer level when programming in On-line mode. Uploaded files are automatically renamed as necessary. If the location specified already contains an OGM, it will be overwritten by the newly uploaded message.

To transfer OGMs to the Storage Memory Card

1. From the Utility menu, select Message File Transfer PC to PBX.

2. Select the destination to transfer the OGM files to from the drop-down list, and then click Browse. The Open dialogue box will be displayed.

3. Select the message files to upload. The files must be in the WAV format. It is possible to select multiple files.

Note: When selecting files to copy to the PBX, the file names (apart from the file extension) cannot be more than 33 characters in length.

When selecting G.711 codec WAV files to copy to the PBX, the total file size of all selected files combined cannot exceed 32 megabytes.

4. Click OK.

The files will be uploaded. Files that do not contain message data will be ignored. An index number (01 to 64) will be appended automatically to the file names of message files transferred to the PBX. When complete, the display will return to the main screen.

Phones Management-Vega Telrad

This menu (Figure 4.56) allows you to get the list of registered VEGA VoIP clients (IP telephones, workstations + softphone) that where registered from the VEGA.I - Machines Management and to manage some configurations. By clicking on a phone name it’s possible to modify the following fields:

1). Phone: Phone username;

2). Password: Phone password that can be changed;

3). Alternative Phone Addresses: In that field we can have alternative addresses to the phone. An alternative address is another name (or number) to reach the telephone. This functionality is very useful when there are telephones from which you can only dial numbers. It’s a good policy to register phones by names and after that define a numeric alternative address.

4). Caller ID: If you want to mask the caller ID insert the full number;

5). Phone Location – Local: It’s the default, for a LAN phone; – Remote: For a remote phone that is connected behind a NAT. Usually this option is used when the idea is register the phone from the Internet, using the VEGA network public IP.

6). Auto provisioning: The auto provisioning option permits the automatic configuration of SIP hardphones, so here we just need to choose the phone model. To work, it’s mandatory when registering the phone at Machines Management, to insert the MAC address.

7). Description: This field should have a text description about the phone;
