OPB3 LPR Software Upgrade

First thing to do is to obtain the POPB3.bin file from your supplier, if your OPB3 card is still under warranty you can have this file free of charge, otherwise there will be a corresponding charge to avail the software.

Before installing KX-TDA0191 (MSG4 card), please be sure to upgrade the LPR software of KX-TDA0190 (OPB3 card) to version 5.000 or later.

To Check the LPR Version of the OPB3 Card

1. Connect to the PBX using Maintenance Console.

2. From the system menu, click 1.Configuration and 1.Slot.

3. Click Slot Summary.- Check the LPR version of the corresponding OPB3 card.

To Upgrade the LPR Software of the OPB3 Card

1. Connect to the PBX using Maintenance Console.

2. Transfer the LPR software of the OPB3 card to the SD Memory Card.

From the Utility menu, select File Transfer PC to PBX (SD Card). – a dialogue box will be displayed.

Select the LPR software file from your PC

Click OK.

3. Change the OPB3 card status to "OUS".

From the system menu, click 1.Configuration and 1.Slot.

Move the mouse pointer over the OPB3 card.

Click OUS.

4. Upgrade the LPR software of the OPB3 card.

From the Utility menu, select SD Card File View and Load.

Click on the POPB3 file.

Click Detail. - The SD Card File View and Load screen will be displayed.

Select the OPB3 card and click View. - The current LPR software information will be displayed.

Click Load to update the file stored on the PBX. - When the update is finished, a message will be displayed.

Click OK. - The display will return to the SD Card File View and Load screen.

5. Change the OPB3 card status to "INS".

From the system menu, click 1.Configuration and 1.Slot.

Move the mouse pointer over the OPB3 card.

Click INS.

Then verify the updated software version of OPB3 card, go to configuration, slot, slot summary;
