Updating IP Phone Firmware with POST MODE status

When you encounter the IP Phone in POST MODE status, this will require to update the firmware; to fix it, do the following;

1. Run Wftpd32 Software settings 2. Change firmware name to 1.z 3. Set the IP on your service laptop and then connect it to IP Phone 4. Power on the phone and long press # key to enter 5. Telnet Phone IP

Now follow the below procedure

1. Open Wftpd32 setup tool and click logging, log options, and tick all that apply except winsock calls

2. CLick security , user/rights

3. Enter User Name 123, and Password is also 123 click Ok,

4. Input the path where you put the update files

5. Configure your computer and set the IP address to 192.168.10.5

6. Connect cable in LAN port of phone to computer then power on the phone and long press the # key while power on the phone will enter POST MODE

7. open dos prompt (CMD)

8. Input telnet 10.168.10.1 and press enter

9. Input Server Name: 192.168.10.5 (This is your PC IP address)

10. Input image 1.z (This is your update files)

11. Input user name: 123 and password: 123 then enter, then will start the update, just wait until successfully completed.
