Mobile Twinning from Desktop Soft Phone to Mobile

No need to have a physical phone, if you have the soft phone extension (Note: Soft Phone extension required AV IP Endpoint License, & Mobile Worker License) go into the user tab in IP Office, click on the user name extension you want to program, go to the mobility tab, check the box that says Mobility Features, check the box that says Mobile Twinning and put your cell phone number in there, include the dial out number plus the 1(area code) rest of phone number. Ensure that Twin when logged out, forwarded calls eligible for mobile twinning and hunt group calls eligible for mobile twinning are all checked. I usually have a mobile dial delay of 2 seconds but it can be as short as 0 so the call hits your soft phone and your cell phone at the same time.

Click on button programming tab and then right click the available button and go to emulation, twinning and at the label field type twinning, click Ok to confirm and Click the Save Icon, in the pop up save configuration box, select “Merge”. Fill in “Service User Name” box and “Service User Password” box as “Administrator”. Click on “Ok”.

You have now setup twinning for this user. You can go to the user’s phone, press the “twinning” button. The system will prompt you to enter a cell phone number if you leave the “mobile twinning” checkbox unselected previously. Once entered the number with a prefix dial number for example “9” to dial an outside line, Once the number is provided, twinning will be automatically turn on.
